Meet Alexandra
Alexandra Culhane, MA
Predoctoral Clinical Psychology Candidate
Alexandra is an advanced doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at William James College, currently completing her predoctoral internship at Human Relations Service in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emotion regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and recurring patterns of behavior.
Her approach integrates evidence-based behavioral strategies with relational and insight-oriented psychotherapy. Drawing from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and psychodynamic approaches, Alexandra helps clients better understand the patterns underlying their difficulties while developing practical skills to respond differently. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and supportive, with an emphasis on helping clients make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships.
Alexandra has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents and values involving parents and families in treatment when appropriate. Her clinical experience includes work at the Gunderson Residence at McLean Hospital, intensive outpatient treatment for OCD, and co-leading a virtual DBT skills group for adults through Two Brattle Center.
